AUTOMATIC DRAWING (15-18)
Students will be working in ink, charcoal, pastels, and other drawing media to create artwork from their subconscious. Students will learn methods intended to stretch each student’s intuitive art-making processes further. Each class will begin with a short meditation, and then students will create work freely, without thought or planning. After this initial step of automatic artmaking, the artist will be led through various techniques that will turn the created "mess" into a finished and polished mixed media artwork. Students can also consider signing up for “INK IS ETERNAL” and/or “AESTHETICS LAB” to compound the skills they learn in this class. Scholarships for class and materials are available.
