SUMMER CAMPS
Spend the summer in the studios and museum at the Des Moines Art Center. Explore a variety of artmaking skills and creative activities. Our week-long summer camps cover a broad range of topics – create an explosion as you learn about the intersection of art and science; design your own artistic universe in Earth, Wind, and Fire; and learn about your favorite animal friends in Animal Party. Register for a half day or a full day experience; morning and afternoon classes feature different projects and activities. Additional child care options are available for purchase, hours and pricing are listed below. AM and PM camps can be combined with the purchase of the supervised lunch period for a full day experience.
MAGIC MAKERS
Conjure your creativity and use your imagination to make magical artwork. Explore alternate ways to use art materials as you discover the magic of mixed media and non-traditional materials to layer, mix, build, and create.
Ages 9–11 / 9 am–noon
Tuition: $140 ($112 for members*) / Material fee $15
Location: Principal Studio 6
